About : My Sessions and Session Information

A BDSM Session is where we get to actually do it. It is when BDSM happens.

Where this happens can be at any number of type of venues. It can be between a husband a wife in a bedroom, at a professional dungeon, at a public play party and even it can be in among the general public.

All sessions have some common traits (or they should). For example and not exclusively;

  • Safe, sane and consensual. Consensual is mandatory. Safe and cane can be debated. Some play is ‘edgy’ and may approach the boundaries of safety and sanity. But all play must be consensual.
  • Generally there will be something from the broad gamut of activities featuring bondage, discipline, sadism and masochism.
  • There may be power exchange (usually is) where there will be a dominant and a submissive.
  • The range of play is almost limitless, from the mild to the wild. The golden rule is that it must work for the people involved.
  • A BDSM Session has discrete parts. There should be a negotiation phase where activities and limits are discussed. Then a play part where it happens which is the meat of the session. It happens. Finally there  is a coming down part where participants relax and enjoy the results of the session, discuss the session, regain their normal-space composure.

For me, actually having my first session took three decades and change. It was a difficult journey.

When I finally accepted that I needed to have an actual BDSM experience I had my first ever pro BDSM session.

Here is the blog post that documents it (the first part). This talks about the issues I faced and then meeting my first pro dom mistress.

Here is the second blog article that gets into the juicy bits of corporal and bondage.

This is more an analysis and ‘angst filled’ pair of posts. I’m wrapped up in me and my feelings. Other things are discussed.
